Hebrews 11:17-19
American Standard Version
17 By faith Abraham, being tried, [a]offered up Isaac: yea, he that had gladly received the promises was offering up his only begotten son; 18 even he [b]to whom it was said, [c]In Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 accounting that God is able to raise up, even from the dead; from whence he did also in a figure receive him back.

Hebrews 11:17-19
New International Version
17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice.(A) He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[a](B) 19 Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead,(C) and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.
