Hebrews 11:16-18
New American Standard Bible
16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a (A)heavenly one. Therefore (B)God is not [a]ashamed to be (C)called their God; for (D)He has prepared a city for them.
17 By faith (E)Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and the one who had (F)received the promises was offering up his [b]only son; 18 it was he to whom it was said, “(G)Through Isaac your [c]descendants shall be named.”

16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one.(A) Therefore God is not ashamed(B) to be called their God,(C) for he has prepared a city(D) for them.
17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice.(E) He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[a](F)
