After saying above, “(A)Sacrifices and offerings and (B)whole burnt offerings and offerings (C)for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the Law), then He [a]said, “(D)Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second. 10 By [b]this will, we have been (E)sanctified through (F)the offering of (G)the body of Jesus Christ (H)once for all time.

11 Every priest stands daily ministering and (I)offering time after time the same sacrifices, which (J)can never take away sins; 12 but He, having offered one sacrifice (K)for [c]sins (L)for all time, (M)sat down at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from that time onward (N)until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. 14 For by one offering He has (O)perfected (P)for all time those who are [d]sanctified. 15 And (Q)the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying,

16 (R)This is the covenant which I will make with them
After those days, declares the Lord:
I will put My laws upon their hearts,
And write them on their mind,”

He then says,

17 (S)And their sins and their lawless deeds
I will no longer remember.”

18 Now where there is forgiveness of these things, an offering for sin is no longer required.

A New and Living Way

19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we (T)have confidence to (U)enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by (V)a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through (W)the veil, that is, through His flesh, 21 and since we have (X)a great priest (Y)over the house of God, 22 let’s (Z)approach God with a [e]sincere heart in (AA)full assurance of faith, having our hearts (AB)sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies (AC)washed with pure water. 23 Let’s hold firmly to the (AD)confession of our (AE)hope without wavering, for (AF)He who promised is faithful; 24 and let’s consider how (AG)to [f]encourage one another in love and (AH)good deeds, 25 not abandoning our own (AI)meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but (AJ)encouraging one another; and all the more as you see (AK)the day drawing near.

35 Therefore, do not throw away your (A)confidence, which has a great (B)reward. 36 For you have need of (C)endurance, so that when you have (D)done the will of God, you may (E)receive [a]what was promised.

37 (F)For yet in a very little while,
(G)He who is coming will come, and will not delay.
38 (H)But My righteous one will live by faith;
And if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him.

39 But [b]we are not among those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith for the safekeeping of the soul.
