13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

13 To which of the angels did God ever say,

“Sit at my right hand(A)
    until I make your enemies
    a footstool(B) for your feet”[a]?(C)

14 Are not all angels ministering spirits(D) sent to serve those who will inherit(E) salvation?(F)

Warning to Pay Attention

We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.(G) For since the message spoken(H) through angels(I) was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment,(J) how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation?(K) This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord,(L) was confirmed to us by those who heard him.(M) God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles,(N) and by gifts of the Holy Spirit(O) distributed according to his will.(P)

Jesus Made Fully Human

It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.
