⁵Heller ikke Kristus påtog sig selv den ære at være ypperstepræst. Nej, han blev indsat af Gud, som sagde til ham:

„Du er min Søn,
i dag er jeg blevet din Far.”

Hebrews 5:5

New International Version

⁵In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory^(A) of becoming a high priest.^(B) But God said^(C) to him,

“You are my Son;
today I have become your Father.”^[a]^(D)

⁵^(A)So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him:

^(B)“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.”

⁵So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
