³¹ By faith ^(A)Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, because she ^(B)had given a friendly welcome to the spies.

³⁹ And all these, ^(A)though commended through their faith, ^(B)did not receive what was promised, ⁴⁰ since God had provided something better for us, ^(C)that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

²⁴ You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. ²⁵ And in the same way was not also ^(A)Rahab the prostitute justified by works ^(B)when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? ²⁶ For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.
