²⁶ I will give you a new heart^(A) and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone^(B) and give you a heart of flesh.^{(C) 27} And I will put my Spirit^(D) in you and move you to follow my decrees^(E) and be careful to keep my laws.^{(F) 28} Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people,^(G) and I will be your God.^(H)

³ You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God,^(A) not on tablets of stone^(B) but on tablets of human hearts.^(C)

¹⁹ I will give them an undivided heart^(A) and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone^(B) and give them a heart of flesh.^{(C) 20} Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.^(D) They will be my people,^(E) and I will be their God.^(F)

⁶ The Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants,^(A) so that you may love^(B) him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.

¹⁷ Then he adds:

⁷ I will give them a heart to know^(A) me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people,^(B) and I will be their God, for they will return^(C) to me with all their heart.^(D)

⁹ But you are a chosen people,^(A) a royal priesthood,^(B) a holy nation,^(C) God’s special possession,^(D) that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.^(E)
