³ Because of this he is obligated to offer sacrifice for his own sins ^(A)just as he does for those of the people.

⁷ but into the second only ^(A)the high priest goes, and he but ^(B)once a year, and not without taking blood, ^(C)which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people.

⁷ Then Moses said to Aaron, “Draw near to the altar and ^(A)offer your sin offering and your burnt offering and ^(B)make atonement for yourself and for the people, and bring the offering of the people and make atonement for them, as the Lord has commanded.”

²⁷ He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, ^(A)first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this ^(B)once for all when he offered up himself.

⁶ “Aaron shall ^(A)offer the bull as a sin offering for himself and shall ^(B)make atonement for himself and for his house.

^15 (A)“Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people and bring its blood ^(B)inside the veil and do with its blood as he did with the blood of the bull, sprinkling it over the mercy seat and in front of the mercy seat.

¹⁴ Then he brought ^(A)the bull of the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons ^(B)laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering. ¹⁵ And he^[a] killed it, and ^(C)Moses took the blood, and with his finger put it on the horns of the altar around it and purified the altar and poured out the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it to make atonement for it. ^16 (D)And he took all the fat that was on the entrails and the long lobe of the liver and the two kidneys with their fat, and Moses burned them on the altar. ¹⁷ But ^(E)the bull and its skin and its flesh and its dung he burned up with fire outside the camp, as the Lord commanded Moses.

^18 (F)Then he presented the ram of the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. ¹⁹ And he killed it, and Moses threw the blood against the sides of the altar. ²⁰ He cut the ram into pieces, and Moses burned ^(G)the head and the pieces and the fat. ²¹ He washed the entrails and the legs with water, and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering with a pleasing aroma, a food offering for the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.

³ if it is the anointed priest who ^(A)sins, thus bringing guilt on the people, then he shall offer for the sin that he has committed ^(B)a bull from the herd without blemish to the Lord for a sin offering. ⁴ He shall bring the bull to the ^(C)entrance of the tent of meeting before the Lord and lay his hand on the head of the bull and kill the bull before the Lord. ⁵ And the anointed priest ^(D)shall take some of the blood of the bull and bring it into the tent of meeting, ⁶ and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and ^(E)sprinkle part of the blood seven times before the Lord in front of the veil of the sanctuary. ⁷ And the priest ^(F)shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense before the Lord that is in the tent of meeting, and ^(G)all the rest of the blood of the bull he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting. ⁸ And all the fat of the bull of the sin offering he shall remove from it, ^(H)the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails ^9 (I)and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove with the kidneys ¹⁰ (just as these are taken from the ox of the sacrifice of the peace offerings); and the priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering. ¹¹ But ^(J)the skin of the bull and all its flesh, with its head, its legs, its entrails, and its dung— ¹² all the rest of the bull—he shall carry ^(K)outside the camp to a clean place, to the ash heap, and shall ^(L)burn it up on a fire of wood. On the ash heap it shall be burned up.

¹² and ^(A)shall take part of the blood of the bull and put it on the ^(B)horns of the altar with your finger, and the rest of^[a] the blood you shall pour out at the base of the altar. ¹³ And you shall take all ^(C)the fat that covers the entrails, and the long lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and burn them on the altar. ¹⁴ But the flesh of the bull and its skin and its dung you shall burn with fire ^(D)outside the camp; ^(E)it is a sin offering.

¹⁵ “Then ^(F)you shall take one of the rams, and ^(G)Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram, ¹⁶ and you shall kill the ram and shall take its blood and throw it against the sides of the altar. ¹⁷ Then you shall ^(H)cut the ram into pieces, and wash its entrails and its legs, and put them with its pieces and its head, ¹⁸ and burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the Lord. It is a ^(I)pleasing aroma, a food offering^[b] to the Lord.
