⁶ Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news ^(A)failed to enter because of disobedience,

¹⁸ And to whom did he swear that ^(A)they would not enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? ¹⁹ So we see that ^(B)they were unable to enter because of unbelief.

⁴³ Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God ^(A)will be taken away from you and given to a people ^(B)producing its fruits.

² For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because ^(A)they were not united by faith with those who listened.^[a]

²⁸ Therefore let it be known to you that ^(A)this ^(B)salvation of God ^(C)has been sent to the Gentiles; ^(D)they will listen.”^[a]

⁴⁶ And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, “It was necessary that the word of God ^(A)be spoken first to you. ^(B)Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves ^(C)unworthy of eternal life, behold, we ^(D)are turning to the Gentiles. ^47 (E)For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,

⁹ So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God,

⁸ And the Scripture, foreseeing that ^(A)God would justify^[a] the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, ^(B)“In you shall all the nations be blessed.”

⁹ Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’ ¹⁰ And those servants went out into the roads and ^(A)gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests.
