¹² For ^(A)the word of God is living and ^(B)active, ^(C)sharper than any ^(D)two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and ^(E)discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

^29 (A)Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and ^(B)like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

¹⁷ and take ^(A)the helmet of salvation, and ^(B)the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

^23 (A)since you have been born again, ^(B)not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through ^(C)the living and abiding word of God;
