⁶ but Christ was faithful as ^(A)a Son over His house—^(B)whose house we are, ^(C)if we hold firmly to our ^(D)confidence and the boast of our ^[a](E)hope.

¹⁴ For we have become partakers of Christ ^(A)if we keep the beginning of our ^[a](B)commitment firm until the end,

²⁷ to whom ^(A)God willed to make known what ^(B)the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is ^(C)Christ in you, the ^(D)hope of glory.

²⁴ For ^(A)in hope we have been saved, but ^(B)hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?

¹³ looking for the blessed hope and the ^(A)appearing of the glory of ^[a](B)our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, ¹⁴ who ^(C)gave Himself for us ^(D)to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to ^(E)purify for Himself a ^(F)people for His own possession, ^(G)eager for good deeds.

^2 (A)Beloved, now we are ^(B)children of God, and ^(C)it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He ^(D)appears, we will be ^(E)like Him, because we will ^(F)see Him just as He is. ³ And everyone who has this ^(G)hope set on Him ^(H)purifies himself, just as He is pure.

²⁴ Now those who ^[a]belong to ^(A)Christ Jesus ^(B)crucified the flesh with its passions and ^(C)desires.

⁵ who are ^(A)protected by the power of God ^(B)through faith for ^(C)a salvation ready ^(D)to be revealed in the last time. ^6 (E)In this you greatly rejoice, even though now ^(F)for a little while, ^(G)if necessary, you have been distressed by ^(H)various ^[a]trials,

⁹ obtaining as ^(A)the outcome of your faith, the salvation of ^[a]your souls.
