³ For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself.

⁹ For we are ^(A)God's fellow workers. You are God's field, ^(B)God's building.

^5 (A)you yourselves like living stones are being built up as ^(B)a spiritual house, to be ^(C)a holy priesthood, ^(D)to offer spiritual sacrifices ^(E)acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ⁶ For it stands in Scripture:

⁷ So the honor is for you who ^(H)believe, but for those who ^(I)do not believe,

¹² And say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Behold, the man whose name is ^(A)the Branch: for he shall branch out from his place, and ^(B)he shall build the temple of the Lord. ^13 (C)It is he who shall build the temple of the Lord ^(D)and shall bear royal honor, and shall sit and rule on his throne. And there^[a] shall be a ^(E)priest on his throne, ^(F)and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’

⁹ But we see him ^(A)who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, ^(B)crowned with glory and honor ^(C)because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might ^(D)taste death ^(E)for everyone.

⁶ but Christ is faithful over God's house as ^(A)a son. And ^(B)we are his house, if indeed we ^(C)hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.^[a]

² but ^(A)in these last days ^(B)he has spoken to us by ^(C)his Son, whom he appointed ^(D)the heir of all things, ^(E)through whom also he created ^(F)the world. ³ He is the radiance of the glory of God and ^(G)the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. ^(H)After making purification for sins, ^(I)he sat down ^(J)at the right hand of the Majesty on high, ⁴ having become as much superior to angels as the name ^(K)he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

¹⁸ And ^(A)he is the head of the body, the church. He is ^(B)the beginning, ^(C)the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.

¹⁸ And I tell you, ^(A)you are Peter, and ^(B)on this rock^[a] I will build my church, and ^(C)the gates of ^(D)hell^[b] shall not prevail against it.
