¹³ You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.

¹¹ So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

²⁴ Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. ²⁵ And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

² Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

¹⁸ So encourage each other with these words.

¹¹ Sin took advantage of those commands and deceived me; it used the commands to kill me.

¹⁴ Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.

²² throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.
