⁹ But we see him ^(A)who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, ^(B)crowned with glory and honor ^(C)because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might ^(D)taste death ^(E)for everyone.

⁷ but ^(A)emptied himself, by taking the form of a ^(B)servant,^{[a] (C)}being born in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in human form, he humbled himself by ^(D)becoming obedient to the point of death, ^(E)even death on a cross. ^9 (F)Therefore ^(G)God has ^(H)highly exalted him and bestowed on him ^(I)the name that is above every name,

⁹ And they sang ^(A)a new song, saying,

⁹ In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that ^(A)God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. ¹⁰ In this is love, ^(B)not that we have loved God ^(C)but that he loved us and sent his Son to be ^(D)the propitiation for our sins.

^2 (A)He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but ^(B)also for the sins of the whole world.

^33 (A)Being therefore ^(B)exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from ^(C)the Father ^(D)the promise of the Holy Spirit, ^(E)he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.

For God So Loved the World

¹⁶ “For ^(A)God so loved ^(B)the world,^{[a] (C)}that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not ^(D)perish but have eternal life.

¹⁸ Therefore, as one trespass^[a] led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness^[b] leads to justification and life for ^(A)all men.

Behold, the Lamb of God

²⁹ The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, ^(A)the Lamb of God, who ^(B)takes away the sin ^(C)of the world!
