That pass through the paths of the seas.

^3 (A)Lord, what is man, that You take knowledge of him?
Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him?

That You should set Your heart on him,

And test him every moment?

¹² “I, even I, am He ^(A)who comforts you.
Who are you that you should be afraid
^(B)Of a man who will die,
And of the son of a man who will be made ^(C)like grass?

¹⁴ “What^(A) is man, that he could be pure?
And he who is born of a woman, that he could be righteous?
