^4 (A)God also bearing witness ^(B)both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and ^(C)gifts^[a] of the Holy Spirit, ^(D)according to His own will?

³ Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, ^(A)who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and ^(B)wonders to be done by their hands.

^4 (A)There are ^[a]diversities of gifts, but ^(B)the same Spirit. ^5 (C)There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. ⁶ And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God ^(D)who works ^[b]all in all. ⁷ But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: ⁸ for to one is given ^(E)the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another ^(F)the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, ^9 (G)to another faith by the same Spirit, to another ^(H)gifts of healings by ^[c]the same Spirit, ^10 (I)to another the working of miracles, to another ^(J)prophecy, to another ^(K)discerning of spirits, to another ^(L)different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ But one and the same Spirit works all these things, ^(M)distributing to each one individually ^(N)as He wills.

⁸ Therefore He says:

^9 (B)(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also ^[a]first descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He who descended is also the One ^(C)who ascended far above all the heavens, ^(D)that He might fill all things.)

¹¹ And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

^5 (A)having predestined us to ^(B)adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, ^(C)according to the good pleasure of His will,

¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of any of those things ^(A)which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, ^(B)to make the Gentiles obedient— ^19 (C)in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Miracles Glorify Christ

¹¹ Now ^(A)God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, ^12 (B)so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to him, ^(A)“Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”

²⁰ And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them ^(A)and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
