³⁵ So do not throw away your confidence;^(A) it will be richly rewarded.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,^(A) because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.^(B)

⁶ But Christ is faithful as the Son^(A) over God’s house. And we are his house,^(B) if indeed we hold firmly^(C) to our confidence and the hope^(D) in which we glory.

⁸ Whoever sows to please their flesh,^(A) from the flesh will reap destruction;^(B) whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.^{(C) 9} Let us not become weary in doing good,^(D) for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.^{(E) 10} Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good^(F) to all people, especially to those who belong to the family^(G) of believers.

¹⁴ and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”^(A)

²⁶ He regarded disgrace^(A) for the sake of Christ^(B) as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.^(C)

Jesus the Great High Priest

¹⁴ Therefore, since we have a great high priest^(A) who has ascended into heaven,^[a](B) Jesus the Son of God,^(C) let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.^(D)

¹² Rejoice and be glad,^(A) because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.^(B)

¹⁴ We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold^(A) our original conviction firmly to the very end.^(B)
