⁴ to an inheritance ^[a]incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, ^(A)reserved in heaven for you,

Profiting from Trials

² My brethren, ^(A)count it all joy ^(B)when you fall into various trials,

^3 (A)Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.

²⁰ for which ^(A)I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

^33 (A)Sell what you have and give ^(B)alms; ^(C)provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.

Lay Up Treasures in Heaven^(A)

^19 (B)“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; ^20 (C)but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

^11 (A)Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of ^(B)evil against you falsely for My sake. ^12 (C)Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for ^(D)so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
