²³ Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, since he who promised is faithful.^(A)

⁹ For we are God’s coworkers.^[a] You are God’s field, God’s building.^(A)

¹⁷ Sanctify^(A) them by the truth; ^(B) your word is truth.

¹⁷ Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.^(A)

¹⁵ As it is said:

¹² From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been suffering violence,^[a] and the violent have been seizing it by force.

²⁶ He said, “If you will carefully obey the Lord your God, do what is right in his sight, pay attention to his commands, and keep all his statutes, I will not inflict any illnesses on you that I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”^(A)

⁶ “Because I, the Lord, have not changed,^(A) you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed.^[a](B)

¹⁶ Satan^(A) has bound^(B) this woman, a daughter of Abraham,^(C) for eighteen years—shouldn’t she be untied from this bondage^[a] on the Sabbath day?”

⁸ The one who commits^[a] sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God^(A) was revealed^(B) for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.
