Hebrews 2:9-11
Good News Translation
9 But we do see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, so that through God's grace he should die for everyone. We see him now crowned with glory and honor because of the death he suffered. 10 It was only right that God, who creates and preserves all things, should make Jesus perfect through suffering, in order to bring many children to share his glory. For Jesus is the one who leads them to salvation.
11 He purifies people from their sins, and both he and those who are made pure all have the same Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his family.

New International Version
9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor(A) because he suffered death,(B) so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.(C)
10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists,(D) should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.(E) 11 Both the one who makes people holy(F) and those who are made holy(G) are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.[a](H)
