Haggai 2:15-19

¹⁵Now then, ^(A)consider from this day onward.^[a] Before stone was placed upon stone in the temple of the Lord, ¹⁶how did you fare? ^(B)When^[b] one came to a heap of twenty measures, there were but ten. When one came to the wine vat to draw fifty measures, there were but twenty. ¹⁷^(C)I struck you and all the products of your toil with blight and with mildew and with hail, ^(D)yet you did not turn to me, declares the Lord. ¹⁸^(E)Consider from this day onward, ^(F)from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month. Since ^(G)the day that the foundation of the Lord's temple was laid, ^(H)consider: ¹⁹^(I)Is the seed yet in the barn? Indeed, the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have yielded nothing. But from this day on ^(J)I will bless you.”

¹⁵“Now, reflect back from this day: Before one stone was placed on another in the Lord’s temple, ¹⁶what state were you in?^[a] When someone came to a grain heap of 20 measures, it only amounted to 10; when one came to the winepress to dip 50 measures from the vat, it only amounted to 20. ¹⁷I struck you—all the work of your hands—with blight, mildew,^(A) and hail,^(B) but you didn’t turn to Me”—this is the Lord’s declaration. ¹⁸“Consider carefully^(C) from this day forward; from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid; consider it carefully. ¹⁹Is there still seed left in the granary? The vine, the fig, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yet produced. But from this day on I will bless you.”^(D)
