⁵ according to the promise that I made you when you came out of Egypt. My spirit abides among you; do not fear.^(A)

²⁰ You gave your good spirit to instruct them and did not withhold your manna from their mouths and gave them water for their thirst.^(A)

The Covenant Renewed

¹⁰ He said, “I hereby make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform marvels, such as have not been done^[a] in all the earth or in any nation, and all the people among whom you live shall see the work of the Lord, for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.^(A)

¹³ Just as you have been a cursing among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you shall be a blessing. Do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong.”^(A)

⁴⁵ I will dwell among the Israelites, and I will be their God.^{(A) 46} And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt that I might dwell among them; I am the Lord their God.^(B)

¹⁵ so again I have purposed in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah; do not be afraid.

Moses’s Intercession

¹² Moses said to the Lord, “See, you have said to me, ‘Bring up this people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.’^{(A) 13} Now if I have found favor in your sight, please show me your ways, so that I may know you and find favor in your sight. Consider, too, that this nation is your people.”^{(B) 14} He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”^(C)

¹⁷ When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he placed his right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last^(A)
