Haggai 1:4-11
New King James Version
4 “Is it (A)time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this [a]temple to lie in ruins?” 5 Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: (B)“Consider your ways!
6 “You have (C)sown much, and bring in little;
You eat, but do not have enough;
You drink, but you are not filled with drink;
You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm;
And (D)he who earns wages,
Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.”
7 Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! 8 Go up to the (E)mountains and bring wood and build the [b]temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the Lord. 9 (F)“You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, (G)I blew it away. Why?” says the Lord of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. 10 Therefore (H)the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit. 11 For I (I)called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on (J)all the labor of your hands.”

Isaiah 1:11-15
New King James Version
11 “To what purpose is the multitude of your (A)sacrifices to Me?”
Says the Lord.
“I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
And the fat of fed cattle.
I do not delight in the blood of bulls,
Or of lambs or goats.
12 “When you come (B)to appear before Me,
Who has required this from your hand,
To trample My courts?
13 Bring no more (C)futile[a] sacrifices;
Incense is an abomination to Me.
The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and (D)the calling of assemblies—
I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.
14 Your (E)New Moons and your (F)appointed feasts
My soul hates;
They are a trouble to Me,
I am weary of bearing them.
15 (G)When you [b]spread out your hands,
I will hide My eyes from you;
(H)Even though you make many prayers,
I will not hear.
Your hands are full of [c]blood.

2 Then [a]Jeshua the son of (A)Jozadak[b] and his brethren the priests, (B)and Zerubbabel the son of (C)Shealtiel and his brethren, arose and built the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings on it, as it is (D)written in the Law of Moses the man of God. 3 Though fear had come upon them because of the people of those countries, they set the altar on its [c]bases; and they offered (E)burnt offerings on it to the Lord, both the morning and evening burnt offerings.
