¹² “If one carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and with the edge he touches bread or stew, wine or oil, or any food, will it become holy?” ’ ”

Then the priests answered and said, “No.”

¹⁹ Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift ^(A)or the altar that sanctifies the gift?

^27 (A)Everyone who touches its flesh ^[a]must be holy. And when its blood is sprinkled on any garment, you shall wash that on which it was sprinkled, in a holy place.

¹⁹ When they go out to the outer court, to the outer court to the people, ^(A)they shall take off their garments in which they have ministered, leave them in the holy chambers, and put on other garments; and in their holy garments they shall ^(B)not sanctify the people.

^6 (A)Every male among the priests may eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place. ^(B)It is most holy.

²⁹ All the males among the priests may eat it. It is most holy.

³⁷ Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and sanctify it. And the altar shall be most holy. ^(A)Whatever touches the altar must be holy.
