Ang Panalangin ni Habakuk
3 Ito ay panalangin ni Propeta Habakuk:[a]
2 O Yahweh, narinig ko ang tungkol sa inyong ginawa,
at ako'y lubos na humanga.
Ulitin ninyo ngayon sa aming panahon
ang mga dakilang bagay na ginawa ninyo noon.
Maging mahabagin kayo, kahit kapag kayo'y nagagalit.
3 Ang Diyos ay muling nanggaling sa Teman,
ang Banal na Diyos ay nagmula sa kaparangan ng Paran.
Laganap sa kalangitan ang kanyang kaluwalhatian,
at puno ang lupa ng papuri sa kanya.
4 Darating siyang sinliwanag ng kidlat,
na gumuguhit mula sa kanyang kamay;
at doon natatago ang kanyang kapangyarihan.
5 Nagpapadala siya ng karamdaman
at inuutusan ang kamatayan upang sumunod sa kanya.
6 Huminto siya at nayanig ang lupa;
sa kanyang sulyap ay nanginginig ang mga bansa.
Ang mga walang hanggang bundok ay sumasambulat;
ang walang hanggang kaburulan ay lumulubog—
mga daang nilakaran niya noong unang panahon.
7 Nakita kong natakot ang mga tao sa Cusan,
at nanginig ang lahat sa lupain ng Midian.
8 Nagagalit ba kayo dahil sa mga ilog, O Yahweh?
Ang mga dagat ba ang sanhi ng inyong poot?
Nakasakay kayo sa inyong mga kabayo,
at magtatagumpay na lulan ng iyong karwahe,
habang pinagtatagumpay ninyo ang inyong bayan.
9 Binunot ninyo sa suksukan ang inyong pana,
at inihanda ang inyong mga palaso.
Biniyak ng inyong kidlat ang lupa.
10 Nakita kayo ng mga bundok at sila'y nanginig;
bumuhos ang malakas na ulan.
Umapaw ang tubig mula sa kalaliman,
at tumaas ang along naglalakihan.
11 Ang araw at ang buwan ay huminto
dahil sa bilis ng inyong pana at sibat.
12 Galit na galit kayong naglakad sa buong daigdig,
at sa tindi ng poot ninyo, ang mga bansa ay niyurakan.
13 Lumabas kayo para iligtas ang inyong bayan,
at ang haring pinili ninyo.
Dinurog ninyo ang pinuno ng masasama,
at nilipol na lahat ang kanyang tagasunod.
14 Sinibat ninyo ang pinuno ng mga mandirigma,
nang dumating sila na parang ipu-ipo upang kami'y pangalatin.
Kagalakan nilang sakmalin nang palihim ang mga dukha.
15 Niyurakan ninyo ang dagat sa pamamagitan ng inyong mga kabayo,
at bumula ang malawak na karagatan.
16 Narinig kong lahat ito at ako'y nanginig;
nangatal ang aking mga labi dahil sa takot.
Nanghina ang aking katawan,
at ako'y nalugmok.
Tahimik kong hihintayin ang takdang panahon
ng pagpaparusa ng Diyos sa mga umapi sa amin.
17 Bagama't di namumunga ang puno ng igos
at hindi rin namumunga ang mga ubas,
kahit na maantala ang pamumunga ng olibo
at walang anihin sa mga bukirin,
kahit na mamatay lahat ang mga tupa
at mawala ang mga baka sa kulungan,
18 magagalak pa rin ako at magsasaya,
dahil si Yahweh ang Diyos na magliligtas sa akin.
19 Ang(A) Panginoong Yahweh ang sa aki'y nagpapalakas.
Tulad ng usa, tiyak ang aking mga hakbang,
inaalalayan niya ako sa mga kabundukan.

2 Lord, I have heard(B) of your fame;
I stand in awe(C) of your deeds, Lord.(D)
Repeat(E) them in our day,
in our time make them known;
in wrath remember mercy.(F)
3 God came from Teman,(G)
the Holy One(H) from Mount Paran.[b](I)
His glory covered the heavens(J)
and his praise filled the earth.(K)
4 His splendor was like the sunrise;(L)
rays flashed from his hand,
where his power(M) was hidden.
5 Plague(N) went before him;
pestilence followed his steps.
6 He stood, and shook the earth;
he looked, and made the nations tremble.
The ancient mountains crumbled(O)
and the age-old hills(P) collapsed(Q)—
but he marches on forever.(R)
7 I saw the tents of Cushan in distress,
the dwellings of Midian(S) in anguish.(T)
8 Were you angry with the rivers,(U) Lord?
Was your wrath against the streams?
Did you rage against the sea(V)
when you rode your horses
and your chariots to victory?(W)
9 You uncovered your bow,
you called for many arrows.(X)
You split the earth with rivers;
10 the mountains saw you and writhed.(Y)
Torrents of water swept by;
the deep roared(Z)
and lifted its waves(AA) on high.
11 Sun and moon stood still(AB) in the heavens
at the glint of your flying arrows,(AC)
at the lightning(AD) of your flashing spear.
12 In wrath you strode through the earth
and in anger you threshed(AE) the nations.
13 You came out(AF) to deliver(AG) your people,
to save your anointed(AH) one.
You crushed(AI) the leader of the land of wickedness,
you stripped him from head to foot.
14 With his own spear you pierced his head
when his warriors stormed out to scatter us,(AJ)
gloating as though about to devour
the wretched(AK) who were in hiding.
15 You trampled the sea(AL) with your horses,
churning the great waters.(AM)
16 I heard and my heart pounded,
my lips quivered at the sound;
decay crept into my bones,
and my legs trembled.(AN)
Yet I will wait patiently(AO) for the day of calamity
to come on the nation invading us.
17 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,(AP)
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,(AQ)
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord,(AR)
I will be joyful in God my Savior.(AS)
19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength;(AT)
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights.(AU)

2 O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
4 And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.
6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.
7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.
8 Was the Lord displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?
9 Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.
10 The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.
11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.
12 Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.
13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.
14 Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.
15 Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters.
16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.
17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

3 God came from Teman,
The Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah
His glory covered the heavens,
And the earth was full of His praise.
4 His brightness was like the light;
He had rays flashing from His hand,
And there His power was hidden.
5 Before Him went pestilence,
And fever followed at His feet.
6 He stood and measured the earth;
He looked and startled the nations.
(A)And the everlasting mountains were scattered,
The perpetual hills bowed.
His ways are everlasting.
7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction;
The curtains of the land of Midian trembled.
8 O Lord, were You displeased with the rivers,
Was Your anger against the rivers,
Was Your wrath against the sea,
That You rode on Your horses,
Your chariots of salvation?
9 Your bow was made quite ready;
Oaths were sworn over Your [b]arrows. Selah
You divided the earth with rivers.
10 The mountains saw You and trembled;
The overflowing of the water passed by.
The deep uttered its voice,

At the light of Your arrows they went,

12 You marched through the land in indignation;

And I trembled in myself,
That I might rest in the day of trouble.

He will invade them with his troops.
