Habakkuk 3
New King James Version
The Prophet’s Prayer
3 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, on [a]Shigionoth.
2 O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid;
O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years!
In the midst of the years make it known;
In wrath remember mercy.
3 God came from Teman,
The Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah
His glory covered the heavens,
And the earth was full of His praise.
4 His brightness was like the light;
He had rays flashing from His hand,
And there His power was hidden.
5 Before Him went pestilence,
And fever followed at His feet.
6 He stood and measured the earth;
He looked and startled the nations.
(A)And the everlasting mountains were scattered,
The perpetual hills bowed.
His ways are everlasting.
7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction;
The curtains of the land of Midian trembled.
8 O Lord, were You displeased with the rivers,
Was Your anger against the rivers,
Was Your wrath against the sea,
That You rode on Your horses,
Your chariots of salvation?
9 Your bow was made quite ready;
Oaths were sworn over Your [b]arrows. Selah
You divided the earth with rivers.
10 The mountains saw You and trembled;
The overflowing of the water passed by.
The deep uttered its voice,
And (B)lifted its hands on high.
11 The (C)sun and moon stood still in their habitation;
At the light of Your arrows they went,
At the shining of Your glittering spear.
12 You marched through the land in indignation;
You [c]trampled the nations in anger.
13 You went forth for the salvation of Your people,
For salvation with Your Anointed.
You struck the head from the house of the wicked,
By laying bare from foundation to neck. Selah
14 You thrust through with his own arrows
The head of his villages.
They came out like a whirlwind to scatter me;
Their rejoicing was like feasting on the poor in secret.
15 (D)You walked through the sea with Your horses,
Through the heap of great waters.
16 When I heard, (E)my body trembled;
My lips quivered at the voice;
Rottenness entered my bones;
And I trembled in myself,
That I might rest in the day of trouble.
When he comes up to the people,
He will invade them with his troops.
A Hymn of Faith
17 Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
18 Yet I will (F)rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 [d]The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like (G)deer’s feet,
And He will make me (H)walk on my high hills.
To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments.

La oración de Habacuc
3 Oración del profeta Habacuc. Según sigionot.[a]
2 Señor, he sabido de tu fama;
tiemblo delante de tus obras, Señor.
Repítelas en nuestros días,
dalas a conocer en nuestro tiempo;
en tu ira, ten presente tu misericordia.
3 Dios viene desde Temán;
el Santo, desde el monte de Parán. Selah
Su gloria cubre el cielo
y su alabanza llena la tierra.
4 Su resplandor es como el sol;
rayos brotan de sus manos;
su poder se esconde en sus manos.
5 Una plaga mortal lo precede
y una epidemia sigue sus pasos.
6 Se detiene y la tierra se estremece;
lanza una mirada y las naciones tiemblan.
Se desmoronan las antiguas montañas
y se desploman las viejas colinas,
pero sus caminos son eternos.
7 He visto afligidos los campamentos de Cusán,
y angustiadas las moradas de Madián.
8 ¿Te enojaste, oh Señor, con los ríos?
¿Estuviste airado contra las corrientes?
¿Tan enfurecido estabas contra el mar
que cabalgaste en tus caballos
y montaste en tus carros victoriosos?
9 Descubriste tu arco,
llenaste de flechas tu aljaba.[b] Selah
Tus ríos dividen la tierra;
10 las montañas te ven y se retuercen.
Pasan los torrentes de agua;
12 Indignado, marchas sobre la tierra;
en tu ira aplastas las naciones.
13 Saliste a liberar a tu pueblo,
saliste a salvar a tu ungido.
Aplastaste al rey de la perversa dinastía,
¡lo desnudaste de pies a cabeza! Selah
16 Al oírlo, se estremecieron mis entrañas;
a su voz, me temblaron los labios;
ni haya frutos en las vides;
aunque falle la cosecha del olivo
y los campos no produzcan alimentos;
aunque en el redil no haya ovejas
ni vaca alguna en los establos;
19 El Señor y Dios es mi fuerza;

Habakkuk 3
King James Version
3 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
2 O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
4 And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.
6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.
7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.
8 Was the Lord displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?
9 Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.
10 The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.
11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.
12 Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.
13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.
14 Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.
15 Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters.
16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.
17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
