Habakkuk 2:2-4
New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition
2 Then the Lord answered me and said:
Write the vision;
make it plain on tablets,
so that a runner may read it.(A)
3 For there is still a vision for the appointed time;
it speaks of the end and does not lie.
If it seems to tarry, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay.(B)
4 Look at the proud!
Their spirit is not right in them,
but the righteous live by their faithfulness.(C)
Habakkuk 2:2-4
Lexham English Bible
2 Then Yahweh answered me and said,
“Write the vision and make it plain on the tablet
so that it might be read quickly.[a]
3 For there is yet a vision for the appointed time;
it will give witness to the end, and it will not lie.
If it tarries, wait for it,
for it will surely come and not delay.
4 Look! His spirit within him is puffed up;
it is not upright.
But the righteous shall live by his faithfulness.
