Habakkuk 2:2-4
International Standard Version
God’s Reply to the Prophet’s Complaint
2 When he answered, the Lord told me:
“Write out the revelation,
engraving it clearly on the tablets,
so that a courier may run with it.[a]
3 For the revelation pertains to an appointed time—
it speaks truthfully[b] about the end.
Though it delays, wait for it,
because it will surely come about—
it will not be late!
4 “Notice their[c] arrogance—
they have no inward uprightness[d]—
but the righteous will live by their faith.

Habakkuk 2:2-4
Lexham English Bible
2 Then Yahweh answered me and said,
“Write the vision and make it plain on the tablet
so that it might be read quickly.[a]
3 For there is yet a vision for the appointed time;
it will give witness to the end, and it will not lie.
If it tarries, wait for it,
for it will surely come and not delay.
4 Look! His spirit within him is puffed up;
it is not upright.
But the righteous shall live by his faithfulness.
