2 我要登上瞭望塔，
站在望楼上等候，
看耶和华要对我说什么，
要怎样答复我的抱怨。
耶和华的答复
2 耶和华对我说：
“将我的启示记下来，
清楚地刻在版上，
便于人们阅读。
3 这启示实现的日期还没到，
它是关于末后的事，没有虚假。
即使缓慢，也要等候，
因为这事终必发生，不再迟延。
4 看那骄傲之人，他们心术不正，
但义人必靠信心[a]而活。
5 财富[b]会欺骗人，
使骄傲之人永不安分，
像阴间一样贪得无厌，
如死亡一般永不满足。
因此，他们征服列国，
掳掠万民。
6 “但那些被掳的人必用诗歌和俗语嘲讽他们，说，
‘你们有祸了！
你们吞没别人的财产，
靠剥削别人囤积财富，
要到何时呢？’
7 向你们借债的人必突然攻击你们，
使你们战战兢兢，
成为俘虏。
8 你们从前掳掠许多国家，
杀人流血，
摧毁他们的土地、城市和人民，
所以各国的余民必掠夺你们。
9 “为自己的家积蓄不义之财、
在高处搭窝躲避灾祸的人啊，
你们有祸了！
10 你们阴谋毁灭各族，
以致自辱己家，自害己命。
11 墙上的石头必高声指控你们，
房子的梁木必同声响应。
12 “以人血建城邑，
以罪恶造城池的人啊，
你们有祸了！
13 列邦的财富都化为灰烬，
列国劳碌却是一场空。
这不都是出于万军之耶和华吗？
14 大地必充满对耶和华之荣耀的认识，
就像海洋充满了水一样。
15 “用酒灌醉邻居以观看他们祼体的人啊，
你们有祸了！
16 你们必饱受羞辱，毫无荣耀。
你们喝吧，露出下体吧！
耶和华右手中的杯将传给你们，
你们的荣耀将变成羞辱。
17 你们以暴虐对待黎巴嫩，
自己必被暴虐吞噬；
你们毁灭野兽，
自己必被恐怖笼罩。
因为你们杀人流血，
摧毁土地、城市和人民。
18 “雕刻的偶像有什么益处？
骗人的铸像有什么用处？
制造者竟信靠自己造的哑巴偶像！
19 对木头说‘醒醒吧’，
对哑巴石头说‘起来吧’的人啊，你们有祸了！
它们能教导你们吗？
看啊，它们外面包金裹银，
里面却毫无生命。
20 但耶和华住在祂的圣殿中，
世人都要在祂面前肃静。”

La fede di Abacuc
2 (A)Io starò al mio posto di guardia, mi metterò sopra una torre e starò attento a quello che il Signore mi dirà, e a quello che dovrò rispondere circa la rimostranza che ho fatta.
2 Il Signore mi rispose e disse: «Scrivi la visione, incidila su tavole, perché si possa leggere con facilità;
3 perché è una visione per un tempo già fissato. Essa si affretta verso il suo termine e non mentirà; se tarda, aspettala, poiché certamente verrà, e non tarderà».
4 Ecco, egli si è inorgoglito, non agisce rettamente; ma il giusto per la sua fede vivrà[a].
Cause del giudizio contro l’oppressore
5 (B)«Certo, il vino è traditore; l’uomo arrogante non può starsene tranquillo, egli allarga la sua bocca come il soggiorno dei morti; come la morte, non si può saziare, ma raduna presso di sé tutte le nazioni, raccoglie intorno a sé tutti i popoli.
6 E tutti questi non lo canzoneranno con proverbi, sarcasmi, enigmi? Diranno: “Guai a chi accumula ciò che non è suo! Fino a quando? Guai a chi si carica di pegni!”
7 I tuoi creditori non spunteranno forse all’improvviso? I tuoi oppressori non si desteranno? Allora tu diventerai loro preda.
8 Poiché tu hai saccheggiato molte nazioni, tutto il resto dei popoli ti saccheggerà a causa del sangue umano sparso, della violenza fatta ai paesi, alle città e a tutti i loro abitanti.
9 Guai a colui che è avido d’illecito guadagno per la sua casa, per mettere il suo nido in alto e scampare alla mano della sventura!
10 Tu hai designato la vergogna per la tua casa, sterminando molti popoli, e hai peccato contro te stesso.
11 Poiché la pietra grida dalla parete e la trave risponde dall’armatura di legno.
12 Guai a colui che costruisce la città con il sangue e fonda una città sull’iniquità!
13 Non è forse volere del Signore che i popoli si affatichino per il fuoco e le nazioni si stanchino per nulla?
14 Poiché la conoscenza della gloria del Signore riempirà la terra, come le acque coprono il fondo del mare.
15 Guai a colui che dà da bere al prossimo, a te che gli versi il veleno fino a ubriacarlo, per guardarlo nella sua nudità!
16 Tu sarai saziato d’infamia anziché di gloria; bevi anche tu, ed esibisci la tua nudità! La coppa della destra del Signore si riverserà su di te e l’infamia coprirà la tua gloria.
17 Poiché la violenza fatta al Libano e la devastazione che spaventava le bestie ricadranno su di te, a causa del sangue umano sparso, della violenza fatta ai paesi, alle città e a tutti i loro abitanti.
18 A che serve l’immagine scolpita perché l’artefice la scolpisca? A che serve l’immagine fusa, che insegna la menzogna, perché l’artefice confidi nel suo lavoro e fabbrichi idoli muti?
19 Guai a chi dice al legno: “Svègliati!” e alla pietra muta: “Àlzati!” Può questa istruire? Ecco, è ricoperta d’oro e d’argento, ma non c’è in lei nessuno spirito.
20 Ma il Signore è nel suo tempio santo; tutta la terra faccia silenzio in sua presenza!»

2 ¶Entonces el Señor me respondió:
«Escribe la visión y grábala en tablas(D),
Para que corra el que la lea.
3 -»Porque es aún visión para el tiempo señalado(E);
Se apresura hacia el fin y no defraudará.
Aunque tarde, espérala(F);
Porque ciertamente vendrá, no tardará(G).
4 ¶»Así es el orgulloso(H):
En él, su alma no es recta,
Mas el justo por su fe vivirá(I).
5 -»Además, el vino(J) traiciona al hombre arrogante(K),
De modo que no se queda en casa(L).
Porque ensancha su garganta como el Seol[a](M),
Y es como la muerte, que nunca se sacia;
Reúne para sí todas las naciones,
Y recoge para sí todos los pueblos.
6 ¶»¿No pronunciarán todos estos contra él una sátira(N),
Y burlas e intrigas contra él?
Y dirán: “¡Ay del que aumenta lo que no es suyo(O)
¿Hasta cuándo?
Y se hace rico con préstamos!”.
7 -»¿No se levantarán de repente tus acreedores(P),
Y se despertarán tus cobradores?
Ciertamente serás despojo para ellos.
8 -»Porque tú has despojado a muchas naciones,
Todos los demás pueblos te despojarán a ti(Q),
Por la sangre humana y la violencia hecha a la tierra,
Al pueblo y a todos sus habitantes.
9 ¶»¡Ay del que obtiene ganancias ilícitas para su casa(R),
Para poner en alto su nido(S),
Para librarse de la mano de la calamidad!
10 -»Has tramado cosa vergonzosa para tu casa(T),
Destruyendo a muchos pueblos,
Pecando contra ti mismo(U).
11 -»Ciertamente la piedra clamará desde el muro(V),
Y la viga le contestará desde el armazón.
12 ¶»¡Ay del que edifica una ciudad con sangre
Y funda un pueblo con violencia(W)!
13 -»¿No viene del Señor de los ejércitos
Que los pueblos trabajen para el fuego(X)
Y las naciones se fatiguen en vano?
14 -»Pues la tierra se llenará
Del conocimiento de la gloria del Señor
Como las aguas cubren el mar(Y).
15 ¶»¡Ay del que da de beber a su prójimo!
¡Ay de ti que mezclas tu veneno hasta embriagarlo,
Para contemplar su desnudez!
16 -»Serás saciado de deshonra más que de gloria.
Bebe tú también y muestra tu desnudez(Z).
Se volverá sobre ti la copa de la diestra del Señor(AA),
Y la ignominia(AB) sobre tu gloria.
17 -»Porque la violencia contra el Líbano te cubrirá(AC),
Y el exterminio de las fieras te aterrará,
A causa del derramamiento de sangre humana y la violencia hecha a la tierra,
A la ciudad y a todos los que habitan en ella(AD).
18 ¶»¿De qué sirve el ídolo que su artífice ha esculpido(AE),
O la imagen fundida, maestra de mentiras(AF),
Para que su hacedor confíe en su obra
Cuando hace ídolos mudos(AG)?
19 -»¡Ay del que dice al madero(AH): “Despierta(AI)”,
O a la piedra muda: “Levántate!”.
¿Será esto tu maestro?
Mira que está cubierto de oro y plata,
Y no hay aliento alguno en su interior(AJ).
20 -»Pero el Señor está en Su santo templo(AK):
Calle delante de Él toda la tierra(AL)».

2 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!
7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?
8 Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
9 Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
10 Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.
11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.
12 Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!
13 Behold, is it not of the Lord of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
15 Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
16 Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the Lord's right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.
17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
20 But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.
