Habakkuk 3:12-14

12 In indignation You (A)marched through the earth;
In anger You [a](B)trampled the nations.
13 You went forth for the (C)salvation of Your people,
For salvation with Your (D)anointed.
You crushed the (E)head of the house of the wicked
To lay him bare from [b]thigh to neck. Selah.
14 You pierced with his (F)own sharpened rods
The head of his [c]throngs.
They (G)stormed in to scatter [d]us;
Their exultation was like those
Who (H)devour the afflicted in secret.

12 In wrath you strode through the earth
and in anger you threshed(A) the nations.
13 You came out(B) to deliver(C) your people,
to save your anointed(D) one.
You crushed(E) the leader of the land of wickedness,
you stripped him from head to foot.
14 With his own spear you pierced his head
when his warriors stormed out to scatter us,(F)
gloating as though about to devour
the wretched(G) who were in hiding.
