Habakkuk 2:3-5
Living Bible
3 But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow,[a] do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass. Just be patient! They will not be overdue a single day!
4 “Note this: Wicked men trust themselves alone as these Chaldeans do,[b] and fail; but the righteous man trusts in me and lives! 5 What’s more, these arrogant Chaldeans are betrayed by all their wine, for it is treacherous. In their greed they have collected many nations, but like death and hell, they are never satisfied.

Habakkuk 2:3-5
New International Version
3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;(A)
it speaks of the end(B)
and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait(C) for it;
it[a] will certainly come
and will not delay.(D)
4 “See, the enemy is puffed up;
his desires are not upright—
but the righteous person(E) will live by his faithfulness[b](F)—
5 indeed, wine(G) betrays him;
he is arrogant(H) and never at rest.
Because he is as greedy as the grave
and like death is never satisfied,(I)
he gathers to himself all the nations
and takes captive(J) all the peoples.
