¹⁷ For in it ^(A)the righteousness of God is revealed ^(B)from faith for faith,^{[a] (C)}as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”^[b]

¹¹ Now it is evident that ^(A)no one is justified before God by the law, for ^(B)“The righteous shall live by faith.”^{[a] 12} But the law is not of faith, rather ^(C)“The one who does them shall live by them.”

¹⁶ yet we know that ^(A)a person is not justified^[a] by works of the law ^(B)but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, ^(C)because by works of the law no one will be justified.

^36 (A)Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; ^(B)whoever does not obey the Son shall not ^(C)see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

¹⁰ Whoever believes in the Son of God ^(A)has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God ^(B)has made him a liar, ^(C)because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God gave us ^(D)eternal life, and ^(E)this life is in his Son. ^12 (F)Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

¹⁴ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For ^(A)everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, ^(A)praise and extol and honor the ^(B)King of heaven, ^(C)for all his works are right and his ways are just; and ^(D)those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
