The Just Live by Faith

² Then the Lord answered me and said:

A Rebellious People

¹³ Then I heard a voice from heaven saying ^[a]to me, “Write: ^(A)‘Blessed are the dead ^(B)who die in the Lord from now on.’ ”

“Yes,” says the Spirit, ^(C)“that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow ^(D)them.”

²² Therefore Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it to the children of Israel.

^18 (A)I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, ^(B)I am alive forevermore. Amen. And ^(C)I have the keys of ^[a]Hades and of Death. ^19 [b]Write the things which you have ^(D)seen, ^(E)and the things which are, ^(F)and the things which will take place after this.

⁵ Then ^(A)He who sat on the throne said, ^(B)“Behold, I make all things new.” And He said ^[a]to me, “Write, for ^(C)these words are true and faithful.”

⁶ And He said to me, ^(D)“It^[b] is done! ^(E)I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. ^(F)I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. ⁷ He who overcomes ^[c]shall inherit all things, and ^(G)I will be his God and he shall be My son. ^8 (H)But the cowardly, ^[d]unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in ^(I)the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

⁴ “But you, Daniel, ^(A)shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall ^(B)run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

⁸ And you shall ^(A)write very plainly on the stones all the words of this law.”

⁹ Then he said to me, “Write: ^(A)‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, ^(B)“These are the true sayings of God.”
