⁴⁰ But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, ^(A)the stones would immediately cry out.”

²⁷ And Joshua said to all the people, “Behold, this stone shall be ^(A)a witness to us, for ^(B)it has heard all the words of the Lord which He spoke to us. It shall therefore be a witness to you, lest you deny your God.”

³ Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. ^(A)You have heaped up treasure in the last days. ⁴ Indeed ^(B)the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and ^(C)the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of ^[a]Sabaoth.

The words of Job are ended.

¹⁰ And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood ^(A)cries out to Me from the ground.

¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, ^(A)“How long, O Lord, ^(B)holy and true, ^(C)until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

²⁴ to Jesus ^(A)the Mediator of the new covenant, and to ^(B)the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things ^(C)than that of Abel.
