^6 (A)Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon ^(B)and bound him in chains ^(C)to take him to Babylon.

²⁴ Behold, ^(A)the siege mounds have come up to the city to take it, and ^(B)because of sword and famine and pestilence ^(C)the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What you spoke has come to pass, and behold, you see it.

¹⁰ In ^(A)the spring of the year King Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, ^(B)with the precious vessels of the house of the Lord, and made his brother ^(C)Zedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem.

^4 (A)And in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came with all his army against Jerusalem, and laid siege to it. And they built siegeworks all around it. ⁵ So the city was besieged till the eleventh year of King Zedekiah. ⁶ On the ninth day of the fourth month the famine was so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land. ⁷ Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled and went out from the city by night by the way of a gate between the two walls, by the king's garden, and the Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the Arabah.

⁴ For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city and the houses of the kings of Judah that were torn down to make a defense against ^(A)the siege mounds and against the sword:

⁶ Then they captured the king ^(A)and brought him up to the king of Babylon at ^(B)Riblah, and they passed sentence on him. ⁷ They slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, ^(C)and put out the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him in chains and took him to Babylon.

^12 (A)and Jehoiachin the king of Judah gave himself up to the king of Babylon, himself and his mother and his servants and his officials and his palace officials. ^(B)The king of Babylon took him prisoner ^(C)in the eighth year of his reign
