¹⁰ In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists,^(A) should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.^(B)

⁷ During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions^(A) with fervent cries and tears^(B) to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard^(C) because of his reverent submission.^{(D) 8} Son^(E) though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered^{(F) 9} and, once made perfect,^(G) he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him
