Sự trừng phạt dành cho các kẻ thù của Giu-đa
3 “Trong những ngày và thời kỳ đó,
lúc ta làm mới lại mọi vật
cho Giu-đa và Ít-ra-en,
2 ta sẽ gom các dân lại
và mang chúng xuống thung lũng,
nơi CHÚA sẽ xét xử [a].
Ở đó ta sẽ xét xử chúng,
vì chúng đã phân tán dân Ít-ra-en ta,
bắt họ sống lưu vong ở các xứ khác.
Chúng phân chia xứ của ta ra
3 và bắt thăm dân ta.
Chúng dùng con trai đổi lấy điếm đĩ,
và bán con gái để mua rượu uống.
4 Hỡi Tia, Xi-đôn và các miền trong Phi-li-tin! Các ngươi có điều gì nghịch ta? Có phải các ngươi trừng phạt ta về điều ta làm? Nếu các ngươi nghĩ rằng các ngươi đang trừng phạt ta thì chính ta sẽ nhanh chóng trừng phạt các ngươi. 5 Các ngươi lấy bạc vàng, và để những của báu ta trong đền thờ [b] các ngươi. 6 Các ngươi bán dân Giu-đa và Giê-ru-sa-lem cho người Hi-lạp để đày họ đi ra khỏi xứ.
7 Các ngươi đày dân ta đến nơi thật xa, nhưng ta sẽ kiếm và mang họ trở về, rồi ta sẽ báo trả các ngươi về điều các ngươi đã làm cho họ. 8 Ta sẽ đày con trai con gái các ngươi sang dân Giu-đa để họ bán chúng nó cho dân Sa-ban [c] ở xa.” CHÚA phán vậy.
Thượng-Đế xét xử các dân
9 “Hãy rao tin nầy giữa các dân:
Hãy chuẩn bị chiến tranh!
Hãy đánh thức quân sĩ!
Những chiến sĩ hãy đến gần và tấn công.
10 Hãy lấy lưỡi cày làm gươm,
và lấy lưỡi dao tỉa cây [d] làm giáo.
Dù cho người yếu cũng hãy nói, ‘Ta là chiến sĩ.’
11 Hỡi các dân, hãy nhanh lên,
đến tụ tập nơi đó.
Lạy Chúa, xin hãy sai các chiến sĩ Ngài
đến thu gom các dân.
12 Hỡi các dân, hãy thức dậy,
hãy đến tấn công trong thung lũng,
nơi CHÚA phán xử.
Nơi đó ta sẽ ngồi phán xử muôn dân bốn bề.
13 Hãy vung lưỡi hái lên, vì mùa gặt đã chín [e].
Hãy đến, bước trên chúng,
như các ngươi đạp lên trái nho để lấy nước,
vì bàn ép rượu đã đầy
và các thùng đầy tràn,
vì dân nầy quá gian ác!
14 Có vô số người ở trong Thung lũng Quyết Định,
vì ngày phán xử của Chúa gần đến
trong Thung lũng Quyết Định [f].
15 Mặt trời và mặt trăng sẽ tối sầm lại,
các ngôi sao không chiếu sáng nữa.
16 Từ Giê-ru-sa-lem CHÚA sẽ gầm lên như sư tử;
tiếng gầm của Ngài sẽ vang lên từ thành đó,
trời đất sẽ rung chuyển.
Nhưng CHÚA sẽ là nơi trú ẩn an toàn
cho dân Ngài,
một chỗ an ninh vững vàng cho dân Ít-ra-en.
17 Rồi các ngươi sẽ biết rằng ta,
CHÚA và Thượng-Đế các ngươi,
sống ở núi thánh Xi-ôn.
Giê-ru-sa-lem sẽ là nơi thánh,
và người ngoại quốc sẽ không bao giờ được bước qua đó nữa.
Một đời mới hứa cho dân Giu-đa
18 Trong ngày đó rượu sẽ nhỏ từ các núi,
sữa sẽ chảy từ các đồi,
và nước sẽ chảy qua khắp các hố của Giu-đa.
Một ngọn suối sẽ chảy ra từ đền thờ CHÚA,
tưới khắp thung lũng cây keo.
19 Nhưng Ai-cập sẽ trở nên hoang vu,
còn Ê-đôm sẽ thành sa mạc tiêu điều,
vì chúng đã độc ác đối với dân Giu-đa.
Chúng giết những người vô tội [g] trong đất chúng.
20 Nhưng sẽ luôn luôn có dân cư sống trong Giu-đa,
và từ nay về sau sẽ có người ở Giê-ru-sa-lem.
21 Ai-cập và Ê-đôm đã giết hại dân ta,
nên ta chắc chắn trừng phạt chúng nó.”
CHÚA ngự ở Giê-ru-sa-lem!

3 「到那日，我使猶大和耶路撒冷被擄之人歸回的時候， 2 我要聚集萬民，帶他們下到約沙法谷，在那裡施行審判。因為他們將我的百姓，就是我的產業以色列，分散在列國中，又分取我的地土， 3 且為我的百姓拈鬮，將童子換妓女，賣童女買酒喝。 4 推羅、西頓和非利士四境的人哪，你們與我何干？你們要報復我嗎？若報復我，我必使報應速速歸到你們的頭上。 5 你們既然奪取我的金銀，又將我可愛的寶物帶入你們宮殿[a]， 6 並將猶大人和耶路撒冷人賣給希臘人[b]，使他們遠離自己的境界， 7 我必激動他們離開你們所賣到之地，又必使報應歸到你們的頭上。 8 我必將你們的兒女賣在猶大人的手中，他們必賣給遠方示巴國的人。這是耶和華說的。
耶和華在約沙法谷鞫萬民
9 「當在萬民中宣告說：要預備打仗，激動勇士，使一切戰士上前來！ 10 要將犁頭打成刀劍，將鐮刀打成戈矛。軟弱的要說：『我有勇力！』」 11 四圍的列國啊，你們要速速地來，一同聚集！耶和華啊，求你使你的大能者降臨！ 12 「萬民都當興起，上到約沙法谷，因為我必坐在那裡，審判四圍的列國。 13 開鐮吧！因為莊稼熟了。踐踏吧！因為酒榨滿了，酒池盈溢，他們的罪惡甚大。
14 「許多許多的人在斷定谷，因為耶和華的日子臨近斷定谷。 15 日月昏暗，星宿無光。 16 耶和華必從錫安吼叫，從耶路撒冷發聲，天地就震動。耶和華卻要做他百姓的避難所，做以色列人的保障。 17 你們就知道我是耶和華你們的神，且又住在錫安我的聖山。那時，耶路撒冷必成為聖，外邦人不再從其中經過。

18 「到那日，大山要滴甜酒，小山要流奶子，猶大溪河都有水流，必有泉源從耶和華的殿中流出來，滋潤什亭谷。 19 埃及必然荒涼，以東變為淒涼的曠野，都因向猶大人所行的強暴，又因在本地流無辜人的血。

20 「但猶大必存到永遠，耶路撒冷必存到萬代。 21 我未曾報復[c]流血的罪，現在我要報復，因為耶和華住在錫安。」

2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.
4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;
5 Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:
6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.
7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:
8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the Lord hath spoken it.
9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
10 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord.
12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
16 The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
17 So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the Lord, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the Lord dwelleth in Zion.

The Nations Judged
3 [a]“In those days and at that time,
when I restore the fortunes(A) of Judah(B) and Jerusalem,
2 I will gather(C) all nations
and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.[b](D)
There I will put them on trial(E)
for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel,
because they scattered(F) my people among the nations
and divided up my land.
3 They cast lots(G) for my people
and traded boys for prostitutes;
they sold girls for wine(H) to drink.
4 “Now what have you against me, Tyre and Sidon(I) and all you regions of Philistia?(J) Are you repaying me for something I have done? If you are paying me back, I will swiftly and speedily return on your own heads what you have done.(K) 5 For you took my silver and my gold and carried off my finest treasures to your temples.[c](L) 6 You sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks,(M) that you might send them far from their homeland.
7 “See, I am going to rouse them out of the places to which you sold them,(N) and I will return(O) on your own heads what you have done. 8 I will sell your sons(P) and daughters to the people of Judah,(Q) and they will sell them to the Sabeans,(R) a nation far away.” The Lord has spoken.(S)
9 Proclaim this among the nations:
Prepare for war!(T)
Rouse the warriors!(U)
Let all the fighting men draw near and attack.
10 Beat your plowshares into swords
and your pruning hooks(V) into spears.(W)
Let the weakling(X) say,
“I am strong!”(Y)
11 Come quickly, all you nations from every side,
and assemble(Z) there.
Bring down your warriors,(AA) Lord!
12 “Let the nations be roused;
let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat,(AB)
for there I will sit
to judge(AC) all the nations on every side.
13 Swing the sickle,(AD)
for the harvest(AE) is ripe.
Come, trample the grapes,(AF)
for the winepress(AG) is full
and the vats overflow—
so great is their wickedness!”
14 Multitudes,(AH) multitudes
in the valley(AI) of decision!
For the day of the Lord(AJ) is near
in the valley of decision.(AK)
15 The sun and moon will be darkened,
and the stars no longer shine.(AL)
16 The Lord will roar(AM) from Zion
and thunder from Jerusalem;(AN)
the earth and the heavens will tremble.(AO)
But the Lord will be a refuge(AP) for his people,
a stronghold(AQ) for the people of Israel.
Blessings for God’s People
17 “Then you will know(AR) that I, the Lord your God,(AS)
dwell in Zion,(AT) my holy hill.(AU)
Jerusalem will be holy;(AV)
never again will foreigners invade her.(AW)
18 “In that day the mountains will drip new wine,(AX)
and the hills will flow with milk;(AY)
all the ravines of Judah will run with water.(AZ)
A fountain will flow out of the Lord’s house(BA)
and will water the valley of acacias.[d](BB)
19 But Egypt(BC) will be desolate,
Edom(BD) a desert waste,
because of violence(BE) done to the people of Judah,
in whose land they shed innocent blood.
20 Judah will be inhabited forever(BF)
and Jerusalem through all generations.
21 Shall I leave their innocent blood unavenged?(BG)
No, I will not.(BH)”

On account of My people, My heritage Israel,

4 “Indeed, what have you to do with Me,

God Blesses His People
18 And it will come to pass in that day
That the mountains shall drip with new wine,
The hills shall flow with milk,
And all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water;
A (T)fountain shall flow from the house of the Lord
And water the Valley of [h]Acacias.
19 “Egypt shall be a desolation,
And Edom a desolate wilderness,
Because of violence against the people of Judah,
For they have shed innocent blood in their land.
20 But Judah shall abide forever,
And Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21 For I will (U)acquit them of the guilt of bloodshed, whom I had not acquitted;
For the Lord dwells in Zion.”
