⁸Il devastatore verrà contro ogni città;
nessuna città potrà scampare.
Sarà devastata la valle e la pianura desolata,
come dice il Signore.
⁹Date ali a Moab,
perché dovrà prendere il volo.
Le sue città diventeranno un deserto,
perché non vi sarà alcun abitante.
¹⁰Maledetto chi compie fiaccamente l'opera del Signore,
maledetto chi trattiene la spada dal sangue!

Jeremiah 48:8-10

New International Version

⁸The destroyer^(A) will come against every town,
    and not a town will escape.
The valley will be ruined
    and the plateau^(B) destroyed,
    because the Lord has spoken.
⁹Put salt^(C) on Moab,
    for she will be laid waste^[a];^(D)
her towns will become desolate,
    with no one to live in them.
