The Great Flood
7 Then the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you alone are righteous before me in this generation. 2 Take with you seven pairs of all clean animals, the male and its mate; and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and its mate; 3 and seven pairs of the birds of the air also, male and female, to keep their kind alive on the face of all the earth. 4 For in seven days I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground.” 5 And Noah did all that the Lord had commanded him.
6 Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth. 7 And Noah with his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives went into the ark to escape the waters of the flood. 8 Of clean animals, and of animals that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground, 9 two and two, male and female, went into the ark with Noah, as God had commanded Noah. 10 And after seven days the waters of the flood came on the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened. 12 The rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights. 13 On the very same day Noah with his sons, Shem and Ham and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons entered the ark, 14 they and every wild animal of every kind, and all domestic animals of every kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every bird of every kind—every bird, every winged creature. 15 They went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there was the breath of life. 16 And those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in.
17 The flood continued forty days on the earth; and the waters increased, and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. 18 The waters swelled and increased greatly on the earth; and the ark floated on the face of the waters.

7 (A)Il Signore disse a Noè: «Entra nell’arca tu con tutta la tua famiglia, perché ho visto che sei giusto davanti a me, in questa generazione. 2 Di ogni specie di animali puri prendine sette paia, maschio e femmina; e degli animali impuri un paio, maschio e femmina. 3 Anche degli uccelli del cielo prendine sette paia, maschio e femmina, per conservarne in vita la razza sulla faccia di tutta la terra; 4 poiché di qui a sette giorni farò piovere sulla terra per quaranta giorni e quaranta notti: sterminerò dalla faccia della terra tutti gli esseri viventi che ho fatto».
5 Noè fece tutto quello che il Signore gli aveva comandato.
6 Noè aveva seicento anni quando il diluvio delle acque inondò la terra. 7 Noè, con i suoi figli, con sua moglie e con le mogli dei suoi figli, entrò nell’arca per scampare alle acque del diluvio. 8 Degli animali puri e degli animali impuri[a], degli uccelli e di tutto quello che striscia sulla terra, 9 vennero delle coppie, maschio e femmina, a Noè nell’arca, come Dio aveva comandato a Noè.

2 Nimm von allem reinen Vieh je sieben und sieben mit dir, das Männchen und sein Weibchen; von dem unreinen Vieh aber je ein Paar, das Männchen und sein Weibchen;
3 auch von den Vögeln des Himmels je sieben und sieben, Männchen und Weibchen, um auf dem ganzen Erdboden Nachkommen am Leben zu erhalten.
4 Denn es sind nur noch sieben Tage, dann will ich es regnen lassen auf der Erde, 40 Tage und 40 Nächte lang, und ich will alles Bestehende, das ich gemacht habe, vom Erdboden vertilgen.
5 Und Noah tat alles ganz wie der Herr es ihm geboten hatte.
6 Und Noah war 600 Jahre alt, als die Wasser der Sintflut auf die Erde kamen.
7 Da ging Noah samt seinen Söhnen, seiner Frau und den Frauen seiner Söhne in die Arche vor dem Wasser der Sintflut.

11 Im sechshundertsten Lebensjahr Noahs, am siebzehnten Tag des zweiten Monats, an diesem Tag brachen alle Quellen der großen Tiefe auf, und die Fenster des Himmels öffneten sich.
12 Und es regnete auf der Erde 40 Tage und 40 Nächte lang.
13 An eben diesem Tag war Noah in die Arche gegangen mit Sem, Ham und Japhet, seinen Söhnen, und mit seiner Frau und den drei Frauen seiner Söhne;
14 sie und alle Wildtiere nach ihrer Art und alles Vieh[b] nach seiner Art und alles Gewürm, das auf der Erde kriecht, nach seiner Art, auch alle Vögel nach ihrer Art, jeder gefiederte Vogel.
15 Und sie gingen zu Noah in die Arche, je zwei und zwei, von allem Fleisch, das Lebensodem in sich hatte.
16 Die aber hineingingen, Männchen und Weibchen von allem Fleisch, kamen herbei, wie Gott ihm geboten hatte. Und der Herr schloss hinter ihm zu.
17 Und die Sintflut war 40 Tage auf der Erde, und die Wasser schwollen an und hoben die Arche hoch, sodass sie über der Erde schwebte.
18 Und die Wasser wurden so gewaltig und nahmen so sehr zu auf der Erde, dass die Arche auf den Wassern dahinfuhr.

7 Azután az Örökkévaló szólt Nóénak: „Jöjj be a bárkába családoddal együtt, mert téged találtalak igazságosnak ebben a nemzedékben! 2 A tiszta állatok fajaiból hozz magaddal hét párt, a tisztátalan fajokból pedig egy-egy párt — hímet és nőstényét! 3 Az égi madarakból is hozz magaddal hét párt — hímet és nőstényét! Hozd be őket, hogy ezek a fajok ne pusztuljanak ki, hanem megmaradjanak a földön! 4 Mert hét nap múlva nagy esőt küldök a földre: negyven nap és negyven éjjel szüntelen zuhogni fog. Elpusztítok és eltörlök a föld színéről minden élőlényt, amelyet alkottam.”
5 Nóé mindent úgy tett, ahogy az Örökkévaló parancsolta.

13 Ezen a napon Nóé és a fiai: Sém, Hám és Jáfet, azután Nóé felesége és fiainak feleségei beszálltak a bárkába. 14-16 A bárkában ott voltak velük az állatok is: mindenféle kisebb és nagyobb szárazföldi vadállat, háziállat, madár és egyéb szárnyas állat — minden fajból páronként egy hím és egy nőstény. Mindezek az állatok, amelyekben az élet lehelete volt, Nóéval együtt bementek a bárkába, ahogyan Isten megparancsolta. Amikor már mindannyian belül voltak, az Örökkévaló bezárta Nóé mögött a bárka ajtaját.
17 Az áradat egyre csak növekedett, és a negyvenedik napon fölemelte a bárkát, amely ettől kezdve lebegett a víz színén, magasan az elborított föld felett. 18-19 Az özönvíz egyre hatalmasabb lett a földön, egyre csak áradt, és végül már a föld legmagasabb hegyeit is elborította. 7 Puis l’Eternel dit à Noé : Entre dans le bateau, toi et toute ta famille car je ne vois que toi qui sois juste parmi tes contemporains. 2 Prends sept couples des animaux purs[a], sept mâles et sept femelles, et un couple de tous les animaux qui ne sont pas purs, le mâle et sa femelle. 3 Prends aussi sept couples de chaque espèce d’oiseaux pour en perpétuer la race sur toute la terre. 4 Car dans sept jours, je vais faire pleuvoir sur la terre durant quarante jours et quarante nuits et j’effacerai de la surface de la terre tous les êtres que j’ai créés.
5 Noé fit tout ce que l’Eternel lui avait ordonné.
6 Noé était âgé de six cents ans quand le déluge vint sur la terre. 7 Il entra dans le bateau avec ses fils, sa femme et ses belles-filles pour échapper aux eaux du déluge[b]. 8 Un couple d’animaux – un mâle et une femelle de ceux qui sont purs et de ceux qui ne le sont pas – ainsi que des oiseaux et de tout ce qui se meut à ras de terre 9 deux par deux, vinrent trouver Noé pour entrer dans le bateau, comme Dieu l’avait prescrit à Noé. 10 Au bout de sept jours, les eaux du déluge s’abattirent sur la terre.
Le déluge
11 L’an 600 de la vie de Noé, le dix-septième jour du deuxième mois de l’année, quand toutes les sources d’eaux souterraines jaillirent et les écluses du ciel s’ouvrirent, 12 et la pluie tomba sur la terre durant quarante jours et quarante nuits. 13 Ce même jour, Noé entra dans le bateau ainsi que ses fils, Sem, Cham et Japhet, sa femme et ses trois belles-filles. 14 Avec eux était entrée chaque espèce d’animaux sauvages, de bestiaux, de bêtes qui se meuvent à ras de terre, d’oiseaux, de petits oiseaux et tous les volatiles. 15 Un couple de tout être vivant était venu trouver Noé pour entrer dans le bateau. 16 Ils étaient arrivés deux par deux, mâle et femelle, comme Dieu l’avait ordonné. Puis l’Eternel referma la porte derrière Noé, 17 et le déluge s’abattit durant quarante jours sur la terre, les eaux montèrent et soulevèrent le bateau, qui se mit à flotter au-dessus de la terre.
18 Les eaux montèrent, grossirent considérablement sur la terre et le bateau vogua sur les flots.
