Genesis 6:16-18
Good News Translation
16 Make a roof[a] for the boat and leave a space of 18 inches between the roof[b] and the sides. Build it with three decks and put a door in the side. 17 I am going to send a flood on the earth to destroy every living being. Everything on the earth will die, 18 but I will make a covenant with you. Go into the boat with your wife, your sons, and their wives.

16 You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 (A)And behold, I Myself am bringing (B)floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall (C)die. 18 But I will establish My (D)covenant with you; and (E)you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
