The Death of Joseph

22 Now Joseph stayed in Egypt, he and his father’s household, and Joseph lived 110 years. 23 And Joseph saw the third generation of Ephraim’s sons; also the sons of Machir, the son of Manasseh, were (A)born on Joseph’s knees. 24 And Joseph said to his brothers, “(B)I am about to die, but God will surely [a]take care of you and bring you up from this land to the land which He swore to (C)Abraham, to (D)Isaac, and to (E)Jacob.” 25 Then Joseph made the sons of Israel swear, saying, “God will surely [b]take care of you, and (F)you shall carry my bones up from here.” 26 So Joseph died at the age of 110 years; and (G)they embalmed him, and he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.

The children of Machir, Manasseh’s son, were also born on Joseph’s knees. 24 Joseph said to his brothers, “I’m about to die. God will certainly take care of you and bring you out of this land to the land he promised to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.” 25 Joseph made Israel’s sons promise, “When God takes care of you, you must bring up my bones out of here.” 26 Joseph died when he was 110 years old. They embalmed him and placed him in a coffin in Egypt.
