The Generations of Adam
5 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God created man, He made him (A)in the likeness of God. 2 He created them (B)male and female, and He (C)blessed them and named them [a]Man in the day when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he [b]became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth. 4 Then the days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were 800 years, and he became the father of other sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died.
6 And Seth lived 105 years and became the father of Enosh. 7 Then Seth lived 807 years after he became the father of Enosh, and he had other sons and daughters. 8 So all the days of Seth were 912 years, and he died.
9 And Enosh lived 90 years and became the father of Kenan. 10 Then Enosh lived 815 years after he became the father of Kenan, and he became the father of other sons and daughters. 11 So all the days of Enosh were 905 years, and he died.
12 And Kenan lived 70 years and became the father of Mahalalel. 13 Then Kenan lived 840 years after he became the father of Mahalalel, and he became the father of other sons and daughters. 14 So all the days of Kenan were 910 years, and he died.
15 And Mahalalel lived 65 years and became the father of Jared. 16 Then Mahalalel lived 830 years after he became the father of Jared, and he became the father of other sons and daughters. 17 So all the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and he died.
18 And Jared lived 162 years and became the father of Enoch. 19 Then Jared lived 800 years after he became the father of Enoch, and he became the father of other sons and daughters. 20 So all the days of Jared were 962 years, and he died.
21 And Enoch lived 65 years and became the father of Methuselah. 22 Then Enoch (D)walked with God 300 years after he became the father of Methuselah, and he became the father of other sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 (E)Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God (F)took him.
25 And Methuselah lived 187 years and became the father of Lamech. 26 Then Methuselah lived 782 years after he became the father of Lamech, and he became the father of other sons and daughters. 27 So all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died.
28 And Lamech lived 182 years and became the father of a son. 29 Now he called his name Noah, saying, “This one will [c]give us rest from our work and from the pain of our hands arising from (G)the ground which Yahweh has cursed.” 30 Then Lamech lived 595 years after he became the father of Noah, and he became the father of other sons and daughters. 31 So all the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died.
32 And Noah was (H)500 years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Amikor Isten Ádámot megteremtette, saját magához hasonlóvá alkotta.
2 Isten az embert férfinak és nőnek teremtette, azután megáldotta, és teremtésük napján embernek[a] nevezte őket.
3 Amikor Ádám 130 éves lett, fia született, akit Sétnek nevezett. Sét is hasonlított Ádámra: olyan volt, mint az apja. 4 Ezután Ádám még 800 évet élt, további fiai és leányai születtek, 5 végül 930 éves korában halt meg.
6 Sétnek 105 éves korában született Énós nevű fia. 7 Ezután Sét még 807 évet élt, további fiai és leányai születtek, 8 végül 912 éves korában halt meg.
9 Énósnak 90 éves korában született Kénán nevű fia. 10 Ezután Énós még 815 évet élt, további fiai és leányai születtek, 11 végül 905 éves korában halt meg.
12 Kénánnak 70 éves korában született Mahalalél nevű fia. 13 Ezután Kénán még 840 évet élt, további fiai és leányai születtek, 14 végül 910 éves korában halt meg.
15 Mahalalélnek 65 éves korában született Jered nevű fia. 16 Ezután Mahalalél még 830 évet élt, további fiai és leányai születtek, 17 végül 895 éves korában halt meg.
18 Jerednek 162 éves korában született Énók nevű fia. 19 Ezután Jered még 800 évet élt, további fiai és leányai születtek, 20 végül 962 éves korában halt meg.
21 Énóknak 65 éves korában született Metúselah nevű fia. 22 Ezután Énók még 300 évig szoros közösségben élt Istennel, és további fiai meg leányai születtek. 23-24 A földön Énók élete 365 évig tartott. Szoros közösségben élt Istennel, aki végül magához emelte.[b] Ettől kezdve Énókot senki sem látta többé.
25 Metúselahnak 187 éves korában született Lámek nevű fia. 26 Ezután Metúselah még 782 évet élt, további fiai és leányai születtek, 27 végül 962 éves korában halt meg.
28 Lámeknak 182 éves korában fia született, 29 akit Nóénak[c] nevezett, mert ezt mondta: „Ez a fiú hoz nekünk megnyugvást és vigasztalást fáradságos munkánk közepette ezen a földön, amelyet az Örökkévaló megátkozott.” 30 Lámek még 595 évet élt Nóé születése után, további fiai és leányai születtek, 31 végül 777 éves korában halt meg. 32 Miután Nóé elmúlt 500 éves, három fia született: Sém, Hám és Jáfet.
