Adam's Descendants to Noah
5 This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, (A)he made him in the likeness of God. 2 Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man[a] when they were created. 3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and (B)named him Seth. 4 (C)The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters. 5 Thus all the days that Adam lived were 930 years, (D)and he died.
6 When Seth had lived 105 years, (E)he fathered Enosh. 7 Seth lived after he fathered Enosh 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Thus all the days of Seth were 912 years, and he died.
9 When Enosh had lived 90 years, he fathered Kenan. 10 Enosh lived after he fathered Kenan 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Thus all the days of Enosh were 905 years, and he died.
12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he fathered Mahalalel. 13 Kenan lived after he fathered Mahalalel 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Thus all the days of Kenan were 910 years, and he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he fathered Jared. 16 Mahalalel lived after he fathered Jared 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Thus all the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and he died.
18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he fathered (F)Enoch. 19 Jared lived after he fathered Enoch 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Thus all the days of Jared were 962 years, and he died.
21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah. 22 Enoch (G)walked with God[b] after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years. 24 Enoch (H)walked with God, and he was not,[c] (I)for God took him.
25 When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he fathered Lamech. 26 Methuselah lived after he fathered Lamech 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Thus all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died.
28 When Lamech had lived 182 years, he fathered a son 29 and called his name Noah, saying, “Out of the ground (J)that the Lord has cursed, this one shall bring us relief[d] from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.” 30 Lamech lived after he fathered Noah 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31 Thus all the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died.
32 After Noah was 500 years old, Noah fathered (K)Shem, Ham, and (L)Japheth.

2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:
4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:
7 And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:
8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.
9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:
10 And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:
11 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.
12 And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel:
13 And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:
14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.
15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:
16 And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:
17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.
18 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:
19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.
21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech.
26 And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:
27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.
28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:
29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.
30 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:
31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God.(C) 2 He created them(D) male and female(E) and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind”[a] when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image;(F) and he named him Seth.(G) 4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5 Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.(H)
6 When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father[b] of Enosh.(I) 7 After he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Altogether, Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
9 When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan.(J) 10 After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Altogether, Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel.(K) 13 After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Altogether, Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.(L) 16 After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Altogether, Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.(M) 19 After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Altogether, Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.(N) 22 After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God(O) 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked faithfully with God;(P) then he was no more, because God took him away.(Q)
25 When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.(R) 26 After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Altogether, Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28 When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. 29 He named him Noah[c](S) and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.(T)” 30 After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31 Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32 After Noah was 500 years old,(U) he became the father of Shem,(V) Ham and Japheth.(W)

5 Sau đây là gia phổ của A-đam. Khi Thượng Đế dựng nên loài người, Ngài tạo dựng họ giống như hình ảnh của Ngài. 2 Ngài dựng nên người đàn ông và đàn bà. Ngày đó Ngài ban phúc cho họ và gọi họ là loài người.
3 Khi A-đam được 130 tuổi thì sinh một con trai nữa giống mình và đặt tên là Sết. 4 Sau khi Sết ra đời thì A-đam sống thêm 800 năm nữa, sinh con trai con gái. 5 Vậy A-đam sống được 930 tuổi, rồi qua đời.
6 Khi Sết được 105 tuổi thì sinh một con trai tên Ê-nóc. 7 Sau khi Ê-nóc sinh ra, Sết sống thêm 807 năm nữa, người sinh con trai con gái. 8 Vậy Sết sống được 912 năm rồi qua đời.
9 Lúc Ê-nóc được 90 tuổi thì sinh một con trai tên Kê-nan. 10 Sau khi Kê-nan ra đời, Ê-nóc sống thêm 815 năm nữa, sinh con trai con gái. 11 Vậy Ê-nóc sống được 905 tuổi rồi qua đời.
12 Khi Kê-nan được 70 tuổi thì sinh một con trai tên Ma-ha-la-lên. 13 Sau khi Ma-ha-la-lên ra đời, Kê-nan sống thêm 840 năm nữa sinh con trai con gái. 14 Vậy Kê-nan sống được 910 tuổi rồi qua đời.
15 Khi Ma-ha-la-lên được 65 tuổi thì sinh một con trai đặt tên là Gia-rết. 16 Sau khi sinh Gia-rết, Ma-ha-la-lên sống thêm 830 năm nữa, sinh con trai con gái. 17 Vậy Ma-ha-la-lên sống được 895 tuổi rồi qua đời.
18 Khi Gia-rết được 162 tuổi sinh một con trai tên Ê-nóc. 19 Sau khi sinh Ê-nóc, Gia-rết sống được 800 năm nữa sinh con trai con gái. 20 Vậy Gia-rết sống được 962 tuổi rồi qua đời.
21 Khi được 65 tuổi, Ê-nóc sinh ra một con trai tên Mê-tu-sê-la. 22 Sau khi Mê-tu-sê-la ra đời, Ê-nóc đồng đi với Thượng Đế trong 130 năm, ông sinh con trai con gái. 23 Vậy Ê-nóc sống được 365 năm. 24 Ê-nóc đi với Thượng Đế; không ai thấy ông nữa vì Thượng Đế đã mang ông đi [a].
25 Khi được 187 tuổi, Mê-tu-sê-la sinh một con trai tên La-méc. 26 Sau khi La-méc ra đời, Mê-tu-sê-la sống thêm 782 năm nữa, sinh con trai con gái. 27 Vậy Mê-tu-sê-la sống được tổng cộng 969 tuổi rồi qua đời.
28 Khi được 182 tuổi, La-méc sinh một con trai 29 đặt tên là Nô-ê [b] và nói rằng, “Đứa con nầy sẽ an ủi chúng ta trong công việc nhọc nhằn khi cày bừa, vì đất đã bị CHÚA nguyền rủa.”
30 Sau khi Nô-ê ra đời, La-méc sống thêm 595 năm nữa, sinh con trai con gái. 31 Vậy La-méc hưởng thọ tổng cộng 777 tuổi rồi qua đời.
32 Khi được 500 tuổi, Nô-ê sinh Sem, Cham và Gia-phết.
