5 Ndondomeko ya mibado ya Adamu ndi iyi:
Pamene Mulungu analenga munthu, anamulenga mʼchifaniziro cha Mulungu. 2 Iye analenga mwamuna ndi mkazi. Anawadalitsa ndipo anawatcha “Munthu.”
3 Pamene Adamu anali ndi zaka 130, anabereka mwana wamwamuna wofanana naye ndipo anamutcha Seti. 4 Atabadwa Seti, Adamu anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 800 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi. 5 Zaka zonse za Adamu zinali 930 ndipo anamwalira.
6 Pamene Seti anali ndi zaka 105, anabereka Enosi. 7 Atabadwa Enosi, Seti anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 807 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi. 8 Zaka zonse za Seti zinali 912 ndipo anamwalira.
9 Pamene Enosi anali ndi zaka 90, anabereka Kenani. 10 Atabadwa Kenani, Enosi anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 815 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi. 11 Zaka zonse za Enosi pamodzi zinali 905 ndipo anamwalira.
12 Pamene Kenani anali ndi zaka 70, anabereka Mahalaleli. 13 Atabadwa Mahalaleli, Kenani anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 840 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi. 14 Zaka zonse za Kenani zinali 910, ndipo anamwalira.
15 Pamene Mahalaleli anali ndi zaka 65, anabereka Yaredi. 16 Atabadwa Yaredi, Mahalaleli anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 830 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi. 17 Zaka zonse za Mahalaleli zinali 895 ndipo anamwalira.
18 Pamene Yaredi anali ndi zaka 162, anabereka Enoki. 19 Atabadwa Enoki, Yaredi anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 800 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi. 20 Zaka zonse za Yaredi zinali 962 ndipo anamwalira.
21 Pamene Enoki anali ndi zaka 65, anabereka Metusela. 22 Atabadwa Metusela, Enoki anayenda ndi Mulungu zaka 300 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi. 23 Zaka zonse za Enoki zinali 365. 24 Enoki anayenda ndi Mulungu; ndipo iye sanaonekenso chifukwa Mulungu anamutenga.
25 Pamene Metusela anali ndi zaka 187, anabereka Lameki. 26 Ndipo atabadwa Lameki, Metusela anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 782 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi. 27 Zaka zonse za Metusela zinali 969, ndipo anamwalira.
28 Pamene Lameki anali ndi zaka 182, anabereka mwana wamwamuna. 29 Ndipo anamutcha Nowa ndipo anati, “Iyeyu adzatipumulitsa ku ntchito zathu zolemetsazi, zolima nthaka imene Yehova anayitemberera.” 30 Atabadwa Nowa, Lameki anakhala zaka zina 595 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi. 31 Zaka zonse za Lameki zinali 777, ndipo kenaka anamwalira.
32 Pamene Nowa anali ndi zaka 500, anabereka Semu, Hamu ndi Yafeti.

The Family of Adam(A)
5 This is the book of the (B)genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in (C)the likeness of God. 2 He created them (D)male and female, and (E)blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son (F)in his own likeness, after his image, and (G)named him Seth. 4 After he begot Seth, (H)the days of Adam were eight hundred years; (I)and he had sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; (J)and he died.
6 Seth lived one hundred and five years, and begot (K)Enosh. 7 After he begot Enosh, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years, and had sons and daughters. 8 So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.
9 Enosh lived ninety years, and begot [a]Cainan. 10 After he begot Cainan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and had sons and daughters. 11 So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.
12 Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalalel. 13 After he begot Mahalalel, Cainan lived eight hundred and forty years, and had sons and daughters. 14 So all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.
15 Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared. 16 After he begot Jared, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years, and had sons and daughters. 17 So all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.
18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot (L)Enoch. 19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.
21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch (M)walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And (N)Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God (O)took him.
25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech. 26 After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters. 27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.
28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and had a son. 29 And he called his name (P)Noah,[b] saying, “This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground (Q)which the Lord has cursed.” 30 After he begot Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and had sons and daughters. 31 So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot (R)Shem, Ham, (S)and Japheth.

From Adam to Noah
5 This is the written account(A) of Adam’s family line.(B)
When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God.(C) 2 He created them(D) male and female(E) and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind”[a] when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image;(F) and he named him Seth.(G) 4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5 Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.(H)
6 When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father[b] of Enosh.(I) 7 After he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Altogether, Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
9 When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan.(J) 10 After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Altogether, Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel.(K) 13 After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Altogether, Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.(L) 16 After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Altogether, Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.(M) 19 After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Altogether, Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.(N) 22 After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God(O) 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked faithfully with God;(P) then he was no more, because God took him away.(Q)
25 When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.(R) 26 After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Altogether, Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28 When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. 29 He named him Noah[c](S) and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.(T)” 30 After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31 Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32 After Noah was 500 years old,(U) he became the father of Shem,(V) Ham and Japheth.(W)

17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.
18 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:
19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.
21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech.
26 And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:
27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.
28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:
29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.
30 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:
31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
