The Family of Adam(A)
5 This is the book of the (B)genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in (C)the likeness of God. 2 He created them (D)male and female, and (E)blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son (F)in his own likeness, after his image, and (G)named him Seth. 4 After he begot Seth, (H)the days of Adam were eight hundred years; (I)and he had sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; (J)and he died.
6 Seth lived one hundred and five years, and begot (K)Enosh. 7 After he begot Enosh, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years, and had sons and daughters. 8 So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.
9 Enosh lived ninety years, and begot [a]Cainan. 10 After he begot Cainan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and had sons and daughters. 11 So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.
12 Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalalel. 13 After he begot Mahalalel, Cainan lived eight hundred and forty years, and had sons and daughters. 14 So all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.
15 Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared. 16 After he begot Jared, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years, and had sons and daughters. 17 So all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.
18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot (L)Enoch. 19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.
21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch (M)walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And (N)Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God (O)took him.
25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech. 26 After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters. 27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.
28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and had a son. 29 And he called his name (P)Noah,[b] saying, “This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground (Q)which the Lord has cursed.” 30 After he begot Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and had sons and daughters. 31 So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot (R)Shem, Ham, (S)and Japheth.

3 Adam war 130 Jahre alt, als er einen Sohn zeugte, sein Ebenbild, das ihm sehr ähnlich war. Er nannte ihn Set. 4 Danach lebte er noch 800 Jahre; ihm wurden noch weitere Söhne und Töchter geboren, 5 bis er im Alter von 930 Jahren starb.
6 Set war 105 Jahre alt, als er Enosch zeugte. 7 Danach lebte er noch 807 Jahre; ihm wurden noch weitere Söhne und Töchter geboren, 8 bis er im Alter von 912 Jahren starb.
9 Enosch war 90 Jahre alt, als er Kenan zeugte. 10 Danach lebte er noch 815 Jahre; ihm wurden noch weitere Söhne und Töchter geboren, 11 bis er im Alter von 905 Jahren starb.
12 Kenan war 70 Jahre alt, als er Mahalalel zeugte. 13 Danach lebte er noch 840 Jahre; ihm wurden noch weitere Söhne und Töchter geboren, 14 bis er im Alter von 910 Jahren starb.
15 Mahalalel war 65 Jahre alt, als er Jered zeugte. 16 Danach lebte er noch 830 Jahre; ihm wurden noch weitere Söhne und Töchter geboren, 17 bis er im Alter von 895 Jahren starb.
18 Jered war 162 Jahre alt, als er Henoch zeugte. 19 Danach lebte er noch 800 Jahre; ihm wurden noch weitere Söhne und Töchter geboren, 20 bis er im Alter von 962 Jahren starb.
21 Henoch war 65 Jahre alt, als er Metuschelach zeugte. 22 Danach lebte er noch 300 Jahre, in denen er seinen Weg mit Gott ging; ihm wurden noch weitere Söhne und Töchter geboren. 23-24 Sein ganzes Leben führte Henoch in enger Gemeinschaft mit Gott. Er wurde 365 Jahre alt. Dann war er plötzlich nicht mehr da – Gott hatte ihn zu sich genommen!
25 Metuschelach war 187 Jahre alt, als er Lamech zeugte. 26 Danach lebte er noch 782 Jahre; ihm wurden noch weitere Söhne und Töchter geboren, 27 bis er im Alter von 969 Jahren starb.
28 Lamech war 182 Jahre alt, als er einen Sohn zeugte. 29 »Der wird uns Erleichterung verschaffen bei all der harten Arbeit und mühseligen Plackerei auf dem Acker, den Gott verflucht hat!«, sagte er. Darum nannte er ihn Noah (»Ruhe«). 30 Danach lebte er noch 595 Jahre; ihm wurden noch weitere Söhne und Töchter geboren, 31 bis er im Alter von 777 Jahren starb.
32 Noah war 500 Jahre alt, als er Sem, Ham und Jafet zeugte.

From Adam to Noah
5 This is the written account(A) of Adam’s family line.(B)
When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God.(C) 2 He created them(D) male and female(E) and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind”[a] when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image;(F) and he named him Seth.(G) 4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5 Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.(H)
6 When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father[b] of Enosh.(I) 7 After he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Altogether, Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
9 When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan.(J) 10 After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Altogether, Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel.(K) 13 After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Altogether, Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.(L) 16 After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Altogether, Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.(M) 19 After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Altogether, Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.(N) 22 After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God(O) 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked faithfully with God;(P) then he was no more, because God took him away.(Q)
25 When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.(R) 26 After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Altogether, Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28 When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. 29 He named him Noah[c](S) and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.(T)” 30 After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31 Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32 After Noah was 500 years old,(U) he became the father of Shem,(V) Ham and Japheth.(W)

4 And the days of Adam, after he had begotten Seth, were eight hundred years; and he begat sons and daughters.
5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.
6 And Seth lived a hundred and five years and begat Enosh.

16 Also, after he begat Jared, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years and begat sons and daughters.
17 So, all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety-five years; and he died.
18 And Jared lived a hundred sixty-two years and begat Enoch.
19 Then, after he begat Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years and begat sons and daughters.
20 So, all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty-two years; and he died.
21 Also, Enoch lived sixty-five years and begat Methuselah.
22 And, after he begat Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years and begat sons and daughters.
23 So, all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.
24 And Enoch walked with God and he was no more; for God took him away.
25 Methuselah also lived a hundred eighty-seven years and begat Lamech.
26 And after he begat Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred eighty-two years and begat sons and daughters.
27 So, all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years; and he died.
28 Then, Lamech lived a hundred eighty-two years and begat a son,
29 and called his name, Noah, saying, “This same shall comfort us concerning the work and sorrow of our hands as touching the earth, which the LORD has cursed.”
30 And after he begat Noah, Lamech lived five hundred ninety and five years and begat sons and daughters.
31 So, all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years; and he died.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old; and Noah begat Shem, Ham and Japheth.
