Genesis 48:7-9
Amplified Bible
7 Now as for me, when I came from Paddan [in Mesopotamia], Rachel died beside me in the land of Canaan on the journey, when there was still some distance to go to Ephrath; and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).”
8 When Israel [who was almost blind] saw Joseph’s sons, he said, “Who are these?” 9 Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me here [in Egypt].” So he said, “Please bring them to me, so that I may bless them.”

New International Version
7 As I was returning from Paddan,[a](A) to my sorrow(B) Rachel died in the land of Canaan while we were still on the way, a little distance from Ephrath. So I buried her there beside the road to Ephrath” (that is, Bethlehem).(C)
8 When Israel(D) saw the sons of Joseph,(E) he asked, “Who are these?”
9 “They are the sons God has given me here,”(F) Joseph said to his father.
Then Israel said, “Bring them to me so I may bless(G) them.”
