behold, the money, which we found in our sacks’ mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lord’s house silver or gold? With whomsoever of thy servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord’s bondmen. 10 And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be blameless.

We even brought back to you from the land of Canaan(A) the silver(B) we found inside the mouths of our sacks.(C) So why would we steal(D) silver or gold from your master’s house? If any of your servants(E) is found to have it, he will die;(F) and the rest of us will become my lord’s slaves.(G)

10 “Very well, then,” he said, “let it be as you say. Whoever is found to have it(H) will become my slave;(I) the rest of you will be free from blame.”(J)
