Si Cain at si Abel

Pagkatapos noon, sumiping si Adan sa asawa niyang si Eva at nagbuntis ito. Nang manganak si Eva, sinabi niya, “Nagkaroon ako ng anak na lalaki sa pamamagitan ng tulong ng Panginoon, kaya Cain ang ipapangalan ko sa kanya.”[a] At muling nanganak si Eva ng lalaki at Abel ang ipinangalan sa kanya.

Nang lumaki na sila, si Abel ay naging pastol ng mga tupa at kambing, at si Cain naman ay naging magsasaka.
