Genesis 4:1-2
New International Version
Cain and Abel
4 Adam[a] made love to his wife(A) Eve,(B) and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain.[b](C) She said, “With the help of the Lord I have brought forth[c] a man.” 2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel.(D)
Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil.(E)

Si Cain at si Abel
4 Pagkatapos noon, sumiping si Adan sa asawa niyang si Eva at nagbuntis ito. Nang manganak si Eva, sinabi niya, “Nagkaroon ako ng anak na lalaki sa pamamagitan ng tulong ng Panginoon, kaya Cain ang ipapangalan ko sa kanya.”[a] 2 At muling nanganak si Eva ng lalaki at Abel ang ipinangalan sa kanya.
Nang lumaki na sila, si Abel ay naging pastol ng mga tupa at kambing, at si Cain naman ay naging magsasaka.
