Genesis 39:20-23
New International Version
20 Joseph’s master took him and put him in prison,(A) the place where the king’s prisoners were confined.
But while Joseph was there in the prison, 21 the Lord was with him;(B) he showed him kindness(C) and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.(D) 22 So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there.(E) 23 The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s(F) care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.(G)

20 And Joseph’s master took him and put him into prison, the place that the king’s prisoners were confined. And he was there in prison. 21 And Yahweh was with Joseph, and showed loyal love to him, and gave him favor in the eyes of the chief of the prison. 22 And the chief of the prison put all the prisoners that were in the prison into the hand of Joseph. And everything that was done there, he was the one who did it. 23 The chief of the prison did not worry about[a] anything in his[b] hand, since Yahweh was with him. And whatever he did Yahweh made it successful.
